Description
Product Description
BAM (8-22) is an endogenous peptide fragment that is a potent agonist for MRGPRX1 (EC50 values are 8 - 150 nM). It was first isolated from bovine adrenal medulla. Unlike BAM 22P (Cat. No. 1650), BAM (8-22) does not contain the met-enkephalin motif therefore displays no affinity for opioid receptors. BAM (8-22) augments scratching behavior in a cholestatic pruritus mice model. BAM (8-22) attenuates bone cancer pain in mice.

Species: MouseAssay Type: Ex VivoCell Line/Tissue: Dorsal Root GangliaVerified Customer | Posted 11/30/2023Demonstrates excellent bio-activity and virtually free of batch/lot-effects in both in vivo mouse behavioral assays (low mM concentrations) and ex vivo calcium imaging assays (low μM concentrations). Highly recommended to minimize variation, for critical assays, and for generating publication quality data. Attached image shows representative calcium response of ex vivo dorsal root ganglia in response to bath applied 10 μM BAM 8-22. Image is composite of GCaMP3 fluorescence intensity over 180 seconds, after baseline subtraction, with contract and brightness adjustments to improve image clarity.
