Biological Activity

Capsazepine is a selective vanilloid receptor antagonist (Ki = 3.2 μM). Inhibits carrageenan inflammation-induced hyperalgesic responses in the rat. Also activates amiloride-sensitive epithelial Na+ channel ENaCδ.
