(D)-(+)-Neopterin is a precursor of biopterin synthesis. Synthesized in response to interferon-γ stimulation; used as a marker of T helper cell-induced immune activation. Also an indicator of oxidative stress; modulates the effects of reactive oxygen species (ROS).Technical Data
