Detection of Human CD2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line and Ramos human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line (negative control). PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human CD2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB18562) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (HAF018). A specific band was detected for CD2 at approximately 50 kDa (as indicated). GAPDH (MAB5718) is shown as a loading control. This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Western Blot Buffer Group 1.

Detection of CD2 in Human Blood Lymphocytes by Flow Cytometry. Human peripheral blood lymphocytes were stained with (A) Mouse Anti-Human CD2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB18562) or (B) Mouse IgG1 Isotype Control (Catalog # MAB002), followed by PE-conjugated anti-Mouse IgG secondary antibody (Catalog # F0102B) and Mouse Anti-Human CD3 epsilon APC-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # FAB100A). Background: CD2

CD2 is a type I glycoprotein belonging to the Ig superfamily and is expressed on T, NK, B, and some antigen presenting cells. Human CD2 binds human CD58 on antigen-presenting cells to induce co-stimulating signals in T cells.
