Scientific Data
Detection of Claudin-15 in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human Claudin-15 and eGFP by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with either (A) human Claudin-15 or (B) irrelevant protein and eGFP was stained with Mouse Anti-Human Claudin-15 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10344) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Quadrant markers were set based on control antibody staining (Catalog # MAB003). View our protocol for Staining Membrane-associated Proteins.

Background: Claudin-15
CLDN15 is a member of the claudin family. Claudins are integral membrane proteins and components of tight junction strands. Tight junction strands serve as a physical barrier to prevent solutes and water from passing freely through the paracellular space between epithelial or endothelial cell sheets, and also play critical roles in maintaining cell polarity and signal transductions.
