Scientific Data
Detection of Human c‑Jun by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line untreated (-) or treated (+) with 100 ng/mL Recombinant Human EGF (Catalog # 236-EG) for the indicated time. Gels were loaded with 20 µg of cytoplasmic (Cyto) and 10 µg of nuclear extracts (Nuc). PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse c-Jun Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2670) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band for c-Jun was detected at approximately 40 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
c‑Jun in HeLa Human Cell Line. c-Jun was detected in immersion fixed HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse c-Jun Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB2670) at 15 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to nuclei. Background: c-Jun
c-Jun is one of three Jun family proteins making up the Activator Protein-1 (AP-1) transcription factor group. c-Jun acts as a positive regulator of cell proliferation and can induce oncogenic transformation.
