Scientific Data
Detection of Nanog in BG01V Human Cells by Flow Cytometry. Three-day Endoderm-differentiated BG01V human embryonic stem cells (upper image) or untreated BG01V human embryonic stem cells (lower image) were stained with Goat Anti-Human Nanog PE-conjugated Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC1997P, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # IC108P, open histogram). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # FC005). Background: Nanog
Nanog is a member of the homeobox family of DNA binding transcription factors that has been shown to maintain pluripotency of embryonic stem cells. Its expression is high in undifferentiated embryonic stem cells and is down-regulated during embryonic stem cell differentiation, concomitant with loss of pluripotency (1‑3).
