Scientific Data
Detection of Mouse IL‑17 RA/IL‑17 R by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of RAW 264.7 mouse monocyte/macrophage cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Rat Anti-Mouse IL-17 RA/IL-17 R Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB448) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for IL-17 RA/IL-17 R at approximately 150 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background: IL-17RA/IL-17R
IL-17 R, also known as IL-17 RA, is a widely expressed 120 kDa glycosylated type I protein that plays a central role in inflammatory responses. IL-17 R associates with IL-17 RC to form a signaling receptor complex for IL-17 and IL-17F. IL-17 R ligation promotes T cell activation and the production of IL-6, G-CSF, SCF, and multiple proinflammatory chemokines. Within the ECD, human IL-17 R shares 72% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat IL-17 R.
