Scientific Data

Detection of Mouse Wnt‑10a by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line and SW480 human bladder cancer cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 5 µg/mL Rat Anti-Mouse Wnt-10a Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3469) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). For additional reference, recombinant mouse Wnt-10a (2 ng) was included. A specific band for Wnt-10a was detected at approximately 70 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 6.

Background: Wnt-10a
Wnt-10a is a presumably secreted, glycosylated member of the Wnt family of developmental proteins. Mouse Wnt-10a is synthesized as a 417 amino acid (aa) precursor that contains a 382 aa mature region. The mature region contains 24 cysteines and two potential N-linked glycosylation sites. Mature mouse Wnt-10a shares 96% and 99% aa sequence identity with mature human and rat Wnt-10a, respectively. Wnt-10a shares 64% aa sequence identity with Wnt-10b/12. Wnt-10a is produced by tumors and thymic epithelium.
