Myeloid Lineage Markers
Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs) are able to differentiate into cells of two primary lineages, lymphoid and myeloid. Cells of the myeloid lineage develop during the process of myelopoiesis and include Granulocytes, Monocytes, Megakaryocytes, and Dendritic Cells. Circulating Erythrocytes and Platelets also develop from myeloid progenitor cells. Many of these myeloid cells are short-lived, and immune system homeostasis requires continual HSC self-renewal and differentiation. We also offer a range of individual antibodies to study the expression of hematopoietic lineage-specific markers. Myeloid cells can be identified by analyzing the expression of specific cell surface markers, such as Cluster of Differentiation (CD) proteins. In addition, differentiated cells like Erythrocytes can be identified by Glycophorin expression, and Tpo R is expressed on the surface of Megakaryocytes.
