Biological Activity
Pirfenidone is a antifibrotic agent, effective in models of pulmonary and lung fibrosis. Inhibits collagen production and fibroblast proliferation. Regulates cytokine levels following oral administration in vivo. Potent scavenger of free radicals and inhibitor of lipid peroxidation.Technical Data
