VSIG proteins
VSIG, IgG Superfamily Members: Data Supports their Potential as Immunotherapeutic Drug Targets
V-Set and Immunoglobulin domain containing (VSIG) proteins, such as VSIG-9/TIGIT and VSIG4, are recognized for their immunomodulatory function. Novel data from R&D Systems scientists suggest that other members of the VSIG class have similar activities and may represent novel immunotherapy drug targets. See the VSIG Data!

ANGPTL proteins
New Members of the Angiopoietin-like Family are Now Available
The Angiopoietin-like (ANGPTL) family of proteins are thought to be involved in a wide range of biological functions, including inflammation, angiogenesis, cancer, and metabolism. R&D Systems has recently expanded our industry-leading selection, including ANGPTL2 and 4. Learn More About Angiopoietin Like Family Members!

Detecting glycans
A New and Specific Technique for Detecting Glycans on Fixed Cells
Scientists from R&D Systems have published a new paper highlighting a way to assess specific glycosylation patterns on fixed cells using fluorescence microscopy. This new technique overcomes specificity and sensitivity issues that plague commonly used methods.

TDO2 and IDO proteins
New Active Tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO2), Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), and Other Immunotherapeutic Targets of Tryptophan Metabolism
Investigators are beginning to appreciate the role of the tryptophan metabolic pathway in immune- and neurometabolism. Bio-Techne’s brands offer a number of products in the tryptophan pathway, including TDO, KMO, IDO, KAT, and KYNU. Learn More About Tryptophan Pathway Targets!

Protein Bioactivity
Bioactivity of Blood Coagulation Proteins
We have an outstanding selection of proteins in the coagulation cascade. If you study thrombosis, don’t miss our new bioactivity data including reagents and assays for dozens of molecules. We also have a new series of interactive pathways for platelet activation!

Pathways for Platelet Activation
Nine New Interactive Pathways for Platelet Activation
This collection of pathways covers platelet adhesion, signaling, and granules. The blue tabs on the left let you jump from one pathway to another in the series, and the links will take you to our product offerings. Enjoy!

Glycoengineering
Enhancing Cell Therapies using Cellular Glycoengineering to Promote Homing
A recent Harvard study suggests that enhancing cell surface sLeX on naïve Treg cells using Fucosyltransferase 7, promotes Treg accumulation at inflammatory sites where they suppress xenogenic GVHD disease. Similar results have also been obtained for B cells and MSCs. It is suggested this novel technique might greatly decrease the required therapeutic dose and help mitigate off-target effects.
