Detection of Mouse YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of mouse bone marrow. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.2 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Mouse YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2446) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). A specific band was detected for YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 at approximately 45 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
Detection of Mouse YM1/Chitinase 3‑like 3 by Simple WesternTM. Simple Western lane view shows lysates of mouse bone marrow, loaded at 0.2 mg/mL. A specific band was detected for YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 at approximately 49 kDa (as indicated) using 2.5 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Mouse YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2446) followed by 1:50 dilution of HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using the 12-230 kDa separation system.

Background: YM1/Chitinase 3-like 3
YM1, also known as Chitinase 3-like 3 and ECF-L, is a secreted 377 amino acid residue lectin that binds heparin and G1cN oligomers. It is produced primarily by macrophages during inflammation. YM1 shares homology with chitinase family proteins but lacks enzymatic activity.
