Scientific Data
SARS-Cov-2 Spike 1 His tag protein binding to ACE-2-transfected Human Cell Line is detected by His tag Antibody. (A) Recombinant SARS-Cov-2 Spike 1 His-tagged protein (10522-CV) binds to HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with recombinant human ACE-2 and eGFP and was detected with Mouse Anti-His Allophycocyanin-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC050A). (B) No staining was observed in the absence of protein. Staining was performed using our Staining Membrane-Associated Proteins protocol.
Detection of His Tag in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with His-tagged Protein by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with His-tagged protein was stained with Mouse Anti-His Tag APC-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC050A, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # IC002A, open histogram). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # FC005). Preparation and Storage
- 12 months from date of receipt, 2 to 8 °C as supplied.
Background: His Tag
Consecutive histidine residues (usually 6 to 10 in length) are often inserted into the amino acid sequences of recombinant proteins. The resulting His-tagged proteins can be detected or purified by using anti-polyHis antibodies.
