CD151 is a tetraspanin superfamily glycoprotein expressed by endothelium, epithelia, megakaryocytes, and platelets. It associates with other tetraspanin proteins and with some integrins including alpha 3/ beta 1, alpha 6/ beta 1, alpha 6/ beta 4, and alpha 7/ beta 1. CD151 modulates cellular adhesion, cell migration, and platelet activation.
