Scientific Data
Detection of EBI2 in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human EBI2 and eGFP by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with (A) EBI2 or (B) irrelevant protein, and eGFP were stained with Mouse Anti-Human EBI2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10272) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Quadrant markers were set based Mouse IgG2A Isotype Control Antibody staining (Catalog # MAB003, data not shown). View our protocol for Staining Membrane-associated Proteins.
Detection of EBI2 in A549 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. A549 human lung carcinoma cell line was stained with Mouse Anti-Human EBI2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10272, filled histogram) or Mouse IgG2A Isotype Control Antibody (Catalog # MAB003, open histogram) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Background: EBI2
Epstein-Barr virus-induced G-protein coupled receptor 2, also known as EBI2 or GPR183 is a G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) expressed in lymphocytes that acts as a chemotactic receptor for B-cells, T-cells, splenic dendritic cells, and monocytes/macrophages. The GPR183 gene was identified by the up-regulation of its expression upon Epstein-Barr virus infection of the Burkitt's lymphoma cell line BL41. GPR183 collaborates with CXCR5 to mediate B cell homing within a lymph node, probably by forming a heterodimer with CXCR5 that affects its interaction with CXCL13
