Scientific Data
Detection of FoxJ1 in HEK293 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line was stained with Rat Anti-Human FoxJ1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3619, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # MAB0061, open histogram), followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0113). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde and permeabilized with saponin.

Background: FoxJ1
Human FoxJ1 (also HNF-4) is a 45 kDa, class 1 member of the HNF-3/fork-head gene family of transcription factors. It is 421 amino acids (aa) in length and contains one fork-head DNA binding domain (aa 120‑210). The presence of basic residues in the fork-head domain makes FoxJ1 a class 1 Fox protein. FoxJ1 induces cilia in lung and oviduct and maintains T cell tolerance to self-antigens. It is known to modulate NF kappa B activity. Over the range of amino acids used for immunization, human FoxJ1 is 89% aa identical to dog FoxJ1 and 87% aa identical to both mouse and rat FoxJ1.
