FRS2 in Human Liver and Liver Cancer Tissue. FRS2 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human normal liver and liver cancer tissue using Sheep Anti-Human FRS2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4069) at 1 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Sheep HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS019) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Background: FRS2

FRS2 (FGFR substrate 2; also known as SNT and FRS2-alpha ) is a 70‑90 kDa member of the FRS family of lipid-anchored docking proteins. It is an intermediary between FGF and TRK receptors and their Ras/MAPK signaling cascades. Human FRS2 is 512 amino acids (aa) in length. It contains a membrane-anchoring myristoylation signal (aa 1‑6), a PTB domain that interacts with FGF and NGF receptors (aa 13‑115), and a C-terminal Tyr-rich region that serves as a docking site for Grb2 and Shp2 (aa 196‑471). One splice form shows a deletion of the C-terminal four amino acids. Over aa 121‑449, human FRS2 is 99% and 94% aa identical to canine and mouse FRS2, respectively.
