Detection of GLP‑2R in NS0 Mouse Cell Line Transfected with Human GLP-2R by Flow Cytometry. NS0 mouse myeloma cell line transfected with human GLP-2R was stained with Mouse Anti-Human GLP-2R Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB4285, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # MAB003, open histogram), followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0102B).

Background: GLP-2R

GLP-2R is a member of the class II glucagon-secretin G protein-coupled receptor superfamily. It is expressed on enteroendocrine cells in the gut where it mediates the positive effects of GLP2 on villus height, crypt depth and intestinal energy absorbtion. After stimulating a cAMP response, lipid raft-dependent internalization of GLP‑2R results in rapid desensitization to GLP2. Extracellular portions of human GLP-2R show approximately 80% amino acid identity with corresponding regions of mouse GLP-2R.
