Detection of Human GPR107 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of non-boiled AGS human gastric adenocarcinoma cell line, KATO‑III human gastric carcinoma cell line, and PANC‑1 human pancreatic carcinoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human GPR107 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10926) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (HAF018). A specific band was detected for GPR107 at approximately 80 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Western Blot Buffer Group 1.

Background: GPR107

Human GPR107 is an ‘orphan' 7-transmembrane receptor from the G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) family of proteins.

GPR107 has been proposed to act as a receptor for Neuronostatin, a peptide derived from the somatostatin/SST precursor. Neuronostatin acts via GPR107 to increase cAMP-independent PKA phosphorylation and proglucagon mRNA accumulation in pancreatic alpha -cells.
