HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with human GPR26 and eGFP was stained with either (A) Mouse Anti-Human GPR26 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB8449) or (B) Mouse IgG_2BFlow Cytometry Isotype Control (Catalog # MAB0041) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B).

Background: GPR26

GPR26 is a brain-specific orphan G Protein-Coupled Receptor (GPCR) of the rhodopsin family. It is frequently reduced or absent in glioma cells and biopsies. Glioblastomas are highly malignant brain tumors. GPR26 has been proposed to be a genetic indicator of primary glioblastoma, suggesting that it could be a suppressor of primary glioblastoma development.
