Detection of Insulin in beta TC‑6 Mouse Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. beta TC-6 mouse beta cell insulinoma cell line was stained with Rat Anti-Human/Mouse/Bovine Insulin APC-conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC1417A, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # IC006A, open histogram). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # FC004) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # FC005). Background: Insulin

Insulin is a disulfide-linked heterodimeric protein secreted by the pancreatic Islets of Langerhans. Mature insulin is generated by the proteolytic removal of a peptide from proinsulin. It is involved in the regulation of glucose metabolism through interactions with the Insulin Receptor.
