Scientific Data

Western Blot Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat Hepassocin/FGL1 antibody by Western Blot. View Larger

Detection of Human, Mouse, and Rat Hepassocin/FGL1 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of HepG2 human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, Hepa 1-6 mouse hepatoma cell line, and H4-II-E-C3 rat hepatoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human/ Mouse/Rat Hepassocin/FGL1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1614) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). A specific band was detected for Hepassocin/FGL1 homodimer at approximately 65 kDa (as indicated). Hepassocin/FGL1 is resistant to reducing conditions (1). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Simple Western View Larger

Detection of Human Hepassocin/FGL1 by Simple WesternTM. Simple Western lane view shows lysates of Hep3B human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line, human liver, loaded at 0.2 mg/mL. A specific band was detected for Hepassocin/FGL1 at approximately 41 kDa (as indicated) using 20 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat Hepassocin/FGL1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1614). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using the 12-230 kDa separation system.

Background: Hepassocin/FGL1

Hepassocin, also known as hepatocyte-derived fibrinogen-related protein (HFREP-1), is a liver specific secreted protein containing one fibrinogen C-terminal domain. It exists as a homodimer and is reported to have hepatocyte mitogenic activity (1).
