Detection of NPY2R in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human NPY2R and eGFP by Flow Cytometry. HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with (A) Human NPY2R or (B) irrelevant protein, and EGFP, was stained with Mouse Anti-Human NPY2R Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10211) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Background: NPY2R

NPY2R is a member of the G protein-coupled receptor 1 family. Functionally, NPY2R is a receptor for neuropeptide Y and peptide YY. Neuropeptide Y is one of the most abundant neuropeptides in the mammalian nervous system and exhibits a diverse range of important physiologic activities, including effects on psychomotor activity, food intake, regulation of central endocrine secretion, and potent vasoactive effects on the cardiovascular system. NPY receptors represent novel molecular therapeutic targets in cancer and obesity.
