Scientific Data
Detection of Human/Rat TC21/R‑Ras2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of Rat-2 rat embryonic fibroblast cell line and CHP-100 human neuroblastoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL Goat Anti-Human/Rat TC21/R-Ras2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3605) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). For additional reference, recombinant human R-Ras, TC21/R-Ras2, and M-Ras/R-Ras3 (2 ng/lane) were included. A specific band for TC21/R-Ras2 was detected at approximately 24 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
TC21/R‑Ras2 in Human Placenta. TC21/R-Ras2 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of normal human placenta using Goat Anti-Human/Rat TC21/R-Ras2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3605) at 10 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Background: TC21/R-Ras2
Teratocarcinoma oncogene 21 (TC21), also known as R-Ras2, is a small GTP-binding protein of the Ras superfamily of GTPases. TC21 comprises an R-Ras subfamily with fellow members R-Ras and M-Ras (R-Ras3). Overexpression and activating mutations of TC21 have been reported in several tumor tissues and cell lines.
