Scientific Data
Detection of Integrin beta 2/CD18 in Canine PBMCs by Flow Cytometry. Canine peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were stained with Goat Anti-Mouse/Canine Integrin beta 2/CD18 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2618, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # AB-108-C, open histogram), followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0107).

Background: Integrin beta 2/CD18
Mouse Integrin beta 2 is a transmembrane glycoprotein with an 85 kDa molecular weight (predicted) and is expressed by all leukocytes. The Integrin beta chain can be found in heterodimeric complexes with Integrin subunits alpha D, alpha L (complex also known as LFA‑1), alpha M (Mac-1), or alpha X (CR-4) leading to different Integrin proteins. The extra cellular domains of mouse and canine Integrin beta 2 share an 80.3% aa sequence identity. Integrins are known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell-surface mediated signalling and leukocyte trafficking.
