Lineage Negative (Lin-) Markers Note

A select list of Lin- markers are provided as examples of markers that have been used in the literature to exclude particular lineages of cells in order to help identify the cell type of interest. As the excluded lineages may differ depending on the purpose of different studies or the approach used to prepare the starting cell population, the Lin- markers listed may not be necessary or additional markers or combinations of markers that aren’t listed may also be appropriate to serve as Lin- markers.
