Technical Notes: MycoProbe® Mycoplasma Detection

Reliable Detection of Mycoplasma Contamination

R&D Systems' microplate-based MycoProbe® Mycoplasma Detection Assay (Catalog # CUL001B) represents a breakthrough for sensitive and reliable routine screening of cell cultures for mycoplasma contamination. Mycoplasma contamination alters the phenotypic characteristics of eukaryotic cells in culture and can negatively impact results. The MycoProbe® Mycoplasma Detection Assay is capable of detecting the eight mycoplasma species known to cause 95% of eukaryotic cell culture contamination.
