Scientific Data
Detection of CD63 in Human PBMC by Flow Cytometry. Human PBMC were stained with Rabbit Anti-Human CD63 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB50481, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (MAB1050, open histogram), followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (F0111). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed and permeabilized with FlowX FoxP3/Transcription Factor Fixation & Perm Buffer Kit (FC012). View our protocol for Staining Intracellular Molecules.
CD63 in A431 Human Cell Line. CD63 was detected in immersion fixed A431 human epithelial carcinoma cell line using Rabbit Anti-Human CD63 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB50481) at 3 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL004) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm and cell surface. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.
Detection of CD63 in PBMC monocytes by Flow Cytometry PBMC monocytes were stained with Rabbit Anti-Human CD63 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB50481, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # MAB1050, open histogram) followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0110). Background: CD63
CD63, also known as LAMP-3 or ME491 (melanoma-associated antigen), is a 30-60 kDa member of the tetraspanin superfamily of protein trafficking proteins. CD63 is ubiquitously expressed and found in late endocytic vesicles, but following cell activation is also present on the plasma membrane. Interaction of CD63 with other membrane proteins or adaptors regulates cell activities such as adhesion, migration and degranulation. Extracellular regions of human CD63 share 67% and 65% amino acid sequence identity with mouse and rat CD63, respectively.
