Scientific Data
TBX18 in Saos‑2 Human Cell Line. TBX18 was detected in immersion fixed Saos-2 human osteosarcoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human TBX18 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB63371) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red, upper panel; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue, lower panel). Specific staining was localized to nuclei. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.
TBX18 in A549 Human Cell Line. TBX18 was detected in immersion fixed A549 human lung carcinoma cell line (positive staining) and MCF‑7 human breast cancer cell line using Mouse Anti-Human TBX18 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB63371) at 8 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cell nuclei. Staining was performed using our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Non-adherent Cells.

Background: TBX18
TBX18 is a 607 amino acid, 65 kDa (predicted) protein that is a member of the T-box family of developmentally expressed transcription factors. It is developmentally expressed in the anterior portion of the head, somites and limb buds. It is expressed on pluripotent progenitors in the developing epicardium where it is required for formation of the cardiac AV node, and can also contribute to fibroblast and smooth muscle formation. Within the region used as an immunogen, human TBX18 shares 93% amino acid identity with mouse and rat TBX18.
