TIM-5: Products

Members of the TIM family are type I transmembrane glycoproteins. All share a characteristic extracellular region containing immunoglobulin V-like and mucin domains.

Mouse TIM-5 (T cell immunoglobulin mucin-5; also hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1-like) is presumably a member of the TIM family of immune regulatory proteins. Little is known about the molecule. Based on other TIM molecules, it will be a type I transmembrane protein with one V-type Ig-like domain and a Ser/Thr-rich mucin region. Mouse TIM-5 has 47% aa identity to mouse TIM-2.
