Frizzled-9 belongs to the Frizzled family of seven-transmembrane receptors, which are signaling receptors for the family of secreted Wnt ligands. The amino-terminal extracellular cysteine-rich domains of human and mouse Frizzled-9 share 94% amino acid sequence homology.
