Scientific Data

Growth Hormone in Rat Pituitary. Growth Hormone was detected in perfusion fixed frozen sections of rat pituitary using Goat Anti-Rat Growth Hormone Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1566) at 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Background: Growth Hormone
Growth Hormone, also named somatotropin, belongs to the somatotropin/prolactin superfamily. It is synthesized in the anterior pituitary gland. Growth Hormone regulates body growth by stimulating the secretion of IGF-I by liver and other tissues.
